Firmware versions

There are two different firmwares available for each processor.

  • The "stable" firmware is the one we ship with new units. It has been thoroughly tested, but does not include some of the newer features.
  • The "beta" version has not been tested as thoroughly, but contains features which will eventually make their way to the stable firmware.

The important differences between firmware versions are described in the following table:

2011-08-11 (beta) Control over tone rate as well as pitch
2011-10-16 (stable) Skydiver's airspeed (SAS) or true airspeed (TAS); separate horizontal and vertical threshold speeds; option to chirp when outside range
